Well, We finally got the kids back to school. This "bug" sure liked to linger. Meanwhile, since I've been home bound for so long- I've been feathering the nest. Curtains washed, pressed, carpets shampooed, mattresses flipped, wall trim painted, etc, etc... If it was warmer, I would have washed the windows- outside- I did get the inside though. I wonder if anyone notices?
Well, so far no news about the Letter of Invitation. I'm still hopeful until Friday. Otherwise, we'll probably be traveling in May.
Looking forward to some spring green!
Psalm 126:3
The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
The Gift of Life
I didn't give you the gift of life, But in my heart I know. The love I feel is deep and real, As if it had been so. For us to have each other, Is like a dream come true! No, I didn't give you The gift of life, Life gave me the gift of you.

The House of Ill
Well, it's been a long week. We've had a man down each day. Our house has had a viral outbreak. Snow, sleet, ice, and viruses, Lysol cleaner and disinfectant are all I've dealt with lately. I can proudly say, we have been sanitized! Now, to keep Matt healthy as he goes to Orlando on Saturday. There is not much news on the adoption front. I will say that we should know a lot more come the end of next week. It's looking more like May traveling for sure. Hope all stays well and warm.

Oh, and Nolan has grown a mustache this week.

Some Assembly Required
Good day! Another weekend project to do. I set out today to put Anna's crib together. This was a minor feat because we had NO instructions. I went on-line and fond the closest model to ours. By the way, I have extra pieces, is anyone missing any? Gwen? Mimi??
Matt was trying to work on his homework. But he finally came up and asked, "Do you need some help?"Now why would he think that?? I had three kids helping me. With his help, we had the crib put together in no time. Coincidentally, the mattress was delivered. So I put the sheets, crib bumper and dust ruffle on.
Now, the fun begins. Trying to keep the three big brothers out of her bed!

Happy Hearts Day!
I was doing the daily check of "what's happening" with our adoption agency. It looks like there is another baby in Anna's orphanage that has been matched with a family this past month. This translates to a possible travel group for myself. They try to take a few families at a time to the orphanages to get their babies.
I also noticed our pictures are missing. I guess Matt will have to work on that this weekend. We have to have her picture on our blog!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Anna's Room
Good evening everyone. Well the boss (my wife), had me busy this weekend. Gayle wants to stay busy by doing something every weekend to prepare for Anna. This weekend we painted Anna's room. Can you guess the theme? We had a lot of fun and I let Gayle help by cutting in.... : )
We still have more to do, like a bed. However, we got a good start. By the way, Gayle wouldn't take any pictures of me working.

Happy New Year!
Well, as many may know today is the Chinese New Year. Big deal? Yeah, sort of. The update news is---there is NO news. Because of this holiday, many government offices are closed. There has been no progress on translating our dossier. Hopefully, after the holiday many will go back to their jobs refreshed and ready to plow through those dossiers to get those babies home!
Again, Happy New Year. Go out and enjoy some Chinese food.

Finding Ad
A few weeks ago, Gayle was reading an adoption blog and came across a family that had ordered their daughter's finding ad. In China, children found and brought to an orphanage have a finding ad placed in the provincial newspaper. The ad includes a picture of the child and information of where and when they were found. For an adopting family its the earliest picture you can get of your child.
Today we received Anna's ad. It was sobering that there were 40 ads for found children in the July 16, 2007 provincial newspaper. Gayle and I are guessing Anna to be about 2-3 months old at the time of her finding ad photo.
We can hardly wait to get our arms around her!

For interested families I'm attaching a link to the website we ordered Anna's ad.

Hope everyone's dug out from the snow.
See ya,
Matt
